Tom soon learned that\u003cbr\u003e\na bear crossing is viewed by many as a sign of good luck and while symbolizing\u003cbr\u003e\nstrength, the bear serves as a guide for many at an impasse. All doubt had\u003cbr\u003e\ngone away for Tom and he knew this was an opportunity to start his own shoe\u003cbr\u003e\ncompany founded on this great animal, with the name BEARPAW as an homage to\u003cbr\u003e\nhis chance meeting with that bear in Tahoe. Shortly after, the very first\u003cbr\u003e\nBEARPAW boot style was created, called EVA.
